
Pinehurst exists: to reach others for Christ and provide a base for Christian living.

Our story begins over 60 years ago when a few from Three Legged Cross had a vision
to start a children’s Sunday school in West Moors. The building, as it is now, started
out its life in 1943 as a corrugated iron shed. This tin shed lasted for seven years
before size became a problem and a new building was required. That came in the form
of a sectional wooden building -
The vision in 1966 was for a new sectional building. It was sometime after this and with much prayer that a new building was built. In 1994 Pinehurst was once again extended to include what is now the rear porch, sports hall, children’s rooms and at the same time the lounge was also increased in size.
In addition to this, Turbary Evangelical Church at Trickett’s Cross was also built through the visionary work of the people at Pinehurst. The work at Turbary was
overseen by the leaders and members of Pinehurst until 1993 when the running was handed over to Turbary,
The vision, growth and provision of monies enabling Pinehurst to continue to grow
into the 21st Century is a testimony to the God who says “I will build my church”.
It is God who builds His church here on earth and God who provides the resources
for that growth. We here at Pinehurst are indeed privileged to be His co-
